ABOUT THE FORUM

Background
Supported by the National Youth Council, the combined Polytechnic Forum is a yearly collaboration amongst the 5 polytechnics and strategic partners allowing the students from the respective institutions to discuss on pertinent issues relevant to the youths and betterment of Singapore.
Objectives
Polytechnic Forum 2008 hopes to achieve the following:
(a) Empower the youth participants and allow them to play an active role in putting forth recommendations to relevant government agencies;
(b) Provide a platform for the youth participants to discuss on youth-related issues and policies;
(c) Create opportunities for youth participants to network and bond; and
(d) Showcase the vibrancy of the youth sector in the Polytechnics;
(e) Develop post forum deliverables;
(f) Identify trends and create new models of collaboration.
Main Theme
PF 08 will adopt the main theme, “Connecting Youths in the Changing
World”. It reflects the call for youths to take an active part in doing something for themselves and their communities in an ever changing society and economy.
