Biography

Ms. Chow Shi Qin is the Chief Facilitator of the Polytechnic Forum 2026 and Senior Manager of the Overseas Student Programme at the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies, Ngee Ann Polytechnic.  

With 12 years of experience as an educator, Shi Qin brings deep insights into youth perspectives to her role as moderator. She began her career as a secondary school History and English teacher before serving as the Subject Head for Student Leadership, where she spearheaded the development of the school’s new leadership framework. At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, she has overseen numerous service-learning projects in partnership with social service agencies and currently teaches modules in English and Communication. In her capacity as Senior Manager, she coordinates overseas service-learning projects across the ASEAN region, extending students' social impact beyond Singapore. A firm believer in holistic education, Shi Qin is dedicated to designing and facilitating impactful learning experiences that empower youth to engage critically with contemporary societal issues.

Ms. Sharon Ismail

Biography

Ms. Sharon Ismail is an Organisational Development practitioner and senior educator at the Centre for Organisational Resilience and Inclusion at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Her interest lies in human dynamics that shape trust, collaboration, and decision-making, particularly within high-stakes environments. 

At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Sharon has held various leadership roles at the School of Film & Media Studies, including Assistant Director of Student Life & Outreach. Her work spans curriculum and capability development, industry partnerships, and cross-functional initiatives. She also served two years at the Planning and Resource Management (PRM) department for strategy management. 

Beyond academia, Sharon draws upon 25 years of experience in professional media practice and national-level advisory work. She was part of Mediacorp’s Malay News and Current Affairs advisory committee and the IMDA’s Programme Advisory Committee (English Programming). She is currently a member of MDDI’s Broadcast, Publications and Arts Appeals Committee. 

Sharon integrates these multidisciplinary perspectives into her engagements across sectors, including the creative and media industries.
